RV vs. Standard Mattress Size Comparison

Find the Right Fit for Your RV Bed
Buying bedding for your RV, Airstream, or trailer can be confusing. RV mattresses don’t always match standard home sizes — which means regular sheets rarely fit. That’s why we created this RV vs. Standard Mattress Size Comparison to help you measure, compare, and choose the right bedding with confidence.
At AB Lifestyles, every sheet set, bedspread, and mattress protector is hand-sewn in South Carolina, USA, to fit your mattress — whether it’s RV Short Queen, Airstream curved, horse trailer bunk, semi-truck sleeper, or a completely custom size.

How to Measure Your RV Mattress (Step-by-Step)
- Remove All Bedding. This will allow you to measure accurately.
- Measure Width: From one side edge to the other.
- Measure Length: From head to foot, along the longest part of the mattress.
- Measure Depth/Height: From base to top surface (include toppers if they’ll stay on).
- Angles or Rounded Corners? Airstreams and some RV beds have curved corners.
- Measure the longest length and width points.
- Place rulers along the mattress edges and slide them toward the corner until they meet. The distance from the corners to the side is the angle or radius measurement.
- Note where the radius corners are located, top right or top left, bottom left or bottom right. - Write it down and choose your size online — or contact us with your measurements for custom bedding.
Why Regular Sheets Don’t Fit RV Mattresses
- RV mattresses are often shorter, narrower, or uniquely shaped.
- Standard sheets slip off or bunch up on the road.
- AB Lifestyles sheets are cut specifically for RV Short Queen, RV King, and custom mattresses — plus our NoTuck Top Sheet® and fitted blankets and bedspreads keeps bedding secure for life on the move.
