How To Measure For Bedding

Mattresses come in a variety of shapes and sizes. If you do not see your size listed, please use our guide to get accurate dimensions and contact us for a quote.

The first step of measuring your mattress is removing any bedding that can interfere with your measurements. Strip off the sheets, blankets, and pillows.

Once your bedding has been cleared away, use a tape measure to measure from right to left across the mattress to gauge its width. If your mattress has curves or angles on any side, you'll want to measure the widest point side to side. Repeat this method to obtain the mattress's length, measuring from the longest point top to bottom. Don't forget to measure thickness from the top of the mattress to the bottom.

Some mattresses include radius curves or angled corners. We are happy to make any size or shaped bedding needed if accurate dimensions are provided. See below for examples of what types of measurements are needed.

Cut corner/angled mattresses have more than 4 sides. When measuring, take down the numbers for the overall width and the length. Measure all sides leading up to the angle, as well as the angle itself. Be sure to note which corner is cut, right or left, head or foot.

Mattress with Radius Corners:

Using a ruler or a tape measure - measure the overall width and length of the mattress. Line rulers up along the edge of the mattress. Then, move them towards the corner until they meet. Make sure the rulers are both flush along the side of the mattress. The distance from the corners to the side is the measurement. Please note where the radius corners are located, right or left, head or foot.
