How to Measure for RV Bedding That Fits
30th Jan 2025

Finding the perfect bedding for your RV can be a challenge. With RV mattresses coming in unique sizes, shapes, and dimensions, standard bedding often doesn’t fit. Follow this simple guide to measure your RV mattress accurately, and we’ll help you get custom bedding that fits like a glove.
Step 1: Strip It Down
Remove all bedding, pillows, and blankets. You want to measure the bare mattress for accurate dimensions—no eyeballing or guessing!
Step 2: Measure the Width
Using a tape measure, measure from the right edge to the left edge at the widest point of the mattress. If your mattress has curves or angles, measure the widest part.
Step 3: Measure the Length
Next, measure from the top edge of the mattress to the bottom edge, or the longest point.
Step 4: Measure the Thickness
Finally, measure the height of the mattress by starting at the top and measuring down to the bottom surface.
Special Cases: Angles, Cut Corners and Curves
For Angled/Cut-Corner Mattresses:
If your mattress has an angled or “cut” corner, measure:
- The overall width and length of the mattress.
- Each side leading to the angle.
- The angled cut itself.
- Make a note of which corner is cut—head or foot, left or right.

For Rounded/Radius Corners:
- Measure the overall width and length.
- Place a ruler along each side until they meet at the curve.
- Measure the distance from each corner to the ruler.
For Custom Curves:
- Measure from the edge of the mattress to where the curve begins on both sides.
- Send us a photo with your measurements.
