Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machine Operator to join our team at Allyson Brooke, Inc. As a Sewing Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process, contributing to the creation of high-quality bedding products.
Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch together various components of bedding products, including sheets, bedspreads, pillowcases, and other related items.
- Follow detailed instructions and specifications to ensure that all products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Inspect finished products for defects, such as loose threads, incorrect stitching, or fabric flaws, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality.
- Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines, including cleaning, oiling, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
- Work closely with other team members, such as cutters, inspectors, and supervisors, to maintain efficient production flow and meet deadlines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sewing Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the textile or bedding industry.
- Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines, including single needle, overlock, and serger machines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality standards.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues to achieve production goals.
